The Memphis Grizzlies are NOT interested in trading for Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant.
That’s according to Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Cole covers the Grizzlies, so he’s got sources with the franchise.
Per sources: The Grizzlies are not interested in trading for Kevin Durant. They contemplated an offer at the trade deadline, but they haven’t and don’t intend to engage on a trade for Durant this offseason. https://t.co/yWLvMxS3ly

The Grizzlies traded Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, four unprotected first-round picks and one first-round pick swap on Father’s Day.
Memphis is not expected to trade Ja Morant or Jaren Jackson Jr. Both All-Stars are eligible for contract extensions this offseason.
Morant and Jackson Jr. are two of the top players in the NBA. However, the Grizzlies have won only one postseason series in the Morant-Jackson Jr. era.
The Oklahoma City Thunder swept Memphis in the first round of this year’s playoffs. Morant didn’t play in Game 4 after hurting his hip in Game 3.
Durant wants the Suns to trade him to the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets or Miami Heat. The NBA legend, though, can’t control where he gets traded because he doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract.
A 15-time All-Star, Durant played in 62 games for the Suns this season. He averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.2 blocks while shooting 52.7% from the field, 43.0% from beyond the arc and 83.9% from the free-throw line.
Durant has one year left on his contract. He turns 37 on September 29.
