Bane has battled some injuries since the Grizzlies drafted him in the first round out of TCU in 2020, but he has been an offensive asset when healthy. He averaged 19.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game across 69 contests this season.
The Magic went 41-41 this season and earned the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference. They beat the Atlanta Hawks in the play-in tournament and then lost to the Boston Celtics in five games in the opening round of the playoffs.
As Charania notes, the Magic ranked last in the NBA in three-point percentage this season. Bane has shot 41 percent from beyond the arc through his first five NBA seasons.
Orlando has one of the better young cores in the NBA with Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs. It will now add another quality young player to the mix in Bane.
