Hawks vs. Knicks -2026 NBA Playoffs: Game Preview and Injury Updates (Apr 28)

The Atlanta Hawks taking on the New York Knicks is perhaps the most interesting postseason matchup. After four games done and dusted, no team has gotten a clear edge. Following game 3, Atlanta led 2-1. But the New York Knicks soon erased that deficit, winning 114–98 to draw the series 2–2. Throughout the series, there have been several heated moments. 

Following Atlanta’s game 2 victory, CJ McCollum dropped an f-bomb. But as the action returns to Madison Square Garden, the Knicks will be hoping to extend their home-court dominance. With Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson coming in with some elite shooting, the chances are high for New York to surge ahead in the series. 

But standing in their path will be McCollum’s physical game that can disrupt all equations. Only recently, the 34-year-old got into a heated altercation with Jose Alvarado. Thus, with a lot of interesting matchups to look out for, the upcoming game will be a banger.
