The Atlanta Hawks may be interested in Giannis Antetokounmpo. They just don’t want to pay that price.

According to Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal, Atlanta has no appetite for including Jalen Johnson in any pursuit of the Bucks star.

Johnson, 24, has emerged as a centerpiece in Atlanta, averaging near triple-double numbers and giving the Hawks little incentive to move him, even for a swing this big.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, for his part, said recently that he hasn’t spoken directly with Milwaukee about his future, even as league noise continues. The Bucks, meanwhile, are telling teams he’s not available and are instead focused on upgrading the roster around him.

Atlanta’s interest is real. Its limits are, too.

That’s usually where these things stall before they even begin.
