When the Charlotte Hornets selected Brandon Miller with the No. 2 overall pick, many thought the franchise made a mistake in passing up on Scoot Henderson. So far, it turns out that passing on Henderson for Miller was the right call.

Through the first 28 games of his career, Miller has averaged 14.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 43% from the field and 39% from three-point range.

You can see flashes of the player he will ultimately become and it's something his teammate, Gordon Hayward, is extremely excited about. During a recent appearance on Podcast P with Paul George, Hayward spoke glowingly about the rookie.

"Brandon's been great for us so far. The first time I met him in the summer he was ready to learn and super respectful. He's got to get a little bit stronger. Once he puts on the weight, which you can see he's got the body that he'll do that, I think he's going to be a real problem for people in this league."
