Miami Heat shooting guard Tyler Herro who was named to his first All-Star team this past regular season thanks in part to the performance decline of big man Bam Adebayo and the forced trade departure of swingman Jimmy Butler.
In 2024-25, the former 2022 Sixth Man of the Year exploded as a scorer, averaging a career-best 23.9 points on .472/.375/.878 shooting splits (thanks in part to his improved usage), along with 5.5 assists (against a fairly modest 2.6 turnovers), 5.2 rebounds and 0.9 steals a night for the 37-45 Heat.
Still, despite his oncourt growth, Herro has now revealed during the offseason that he still has room to develop intellectually away from the hardwood.
During a recent appearance on Kick star Adin Ross' popular livestream, the 6-foot-5 Kentucky product made a stunning admission.

"I don't believe in anything that happened... before 1950," the 25-year-old claimed. He erroneously included the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing — which, as math tells us, happened after 1950 — as a piece of history he doubts actually transpired.
"For real, like, how do we know? When did [Christopher Columbus] come to America, the land or whatever? They said 1492. How do we know?"
In the case of the Spanish explorer, Columbus kept a journal during his travels in the fall of 1492, which is accessible to anyone who has Google.
Herro may be fast becoming one of the East's top scoring guards, but he may want to consider rejoining the Wildcats to take some summer classes. There's still time for him to broaden his own horizons.
