The silver lining for the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday was keeping Bam Adebayo from surpassing his 83-point explosion. The downside, however, was that the Miami Heat still defeated the visiting Bucks 112 – 105 and made a statement in the process.
After his historic 83-point game on Tuesday, the second-highest single-game total in NBA history, Bam Adebayo scored 21 points on 8-of-20 shooting against Milwaukee. The Miami Heat secured the victory thanks to a strong first quarter and a 28-point contribution from Pelle Larsson.

Milwaukee dropped their third straight game, and afterward a postgame score graphic referenced Bam Adebayo’s recent career night with a caption noting that he did not score 83 points.
The Heat responded by poking fun at the remark, pointing out that Adebayo did not need to reach that total for Miami to secure the victory.
Even without Andrew Wiggins, Norman Powell, Tyler Herro, and Nikola Jovic, the Miami Heat barely skipped a step against the Milwaukee Bucks. Miami controlled the matchup from the opening whistle to the final buzzer and delivered a strong performance throughout the night.
The win also gave the Heat a 2–1 edge in the season series against the Milwaukee Bucks. As of Thursday night, Milwaukee sits six games behind the final play in position, making it unlikely the Bucks will get an opportunity to respond if the two teams were to meet in the postseason.
Before the game against Milwaukee, Bam Adebayo’s late push for 83 points became a divisive topic for basketball fans.
