Historic Nikola Jokić Stat Revealed on Monday

The Denver Nuggets survived a very competitive first-round playoff series with the Los Angeles Clippers, but they left no doubt that they're the better team.

They ran past the Clippers in Game 7 to the tune of a 120-101 victory, and they will now face the Oklahoma City Thunder in round two of the playoffs beginning Monday evening.

The Thunder won 68 games during the regular season and have the NBA's best defense, but luckily, Denver has the NBA's most prolific superstar.

Center Nikola Jokić became just the third player in league history to average a triple-double for an entire season, and he has led his team in points, rebounds and assists in 220 career games.

It is the second-highest number of games in which anyone has ever done so, behind only LeBron James.

For the last five seasons, Jokic has been one of basketball's most prodigious men. He has been named the regular season MVP three times, and he won both an NBA championship and finals MVP award in 2023.

Plenty of people feel he should have a real shot at winning this season's MVP award. However, it is thought that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will likely end up winning that honor.

Gilgeous-Alexander just happens to be the head honcho of the Thunder, making this upcoming series a battle between arguably the two best players in the world right now.

Jokic didn't score as many points against the Clippers as he normally does. But he still averaged a triple-double with 24.0 points, 11.6 rebounds and 10.1 assists per game while hitting 45.2% of his 3-point attempts.
