The Hornets are re-signing free agent guard Tre Mann to a three-season, $24M contract, sources inform ESPN’s Shams Charania (Twitter link).

Charania reports that Mann’s agent at Verus Sports, Aaron Turner, finalized terms of the deal with Charlotte’s front office.

Mann’s fate had been somewhat up in the air, as the Hornets had opted not to extend him the $6.96M qualifying offer that would have made him a restricted free agent under team control. Mann had thus been made an unrestricted free agent.

The 24-year-old out of Florida played sparingly for Charlotte in 2024/25. Across just 13 healthy games, the 6’3″ pro averaged a career-best 14.1 PPG, along with 3.0 APG and 2.9 RPG. He logged a .435/.400/.905 slash line.

Mann is the latest familiar face to return to the fold for Charlotte’s seemingly endless rebuild. The Hornets also re-signed guard Josh Okogie and brought back former center Mason Plumlee.

Charlotte is, however, bringing in some new additions, highlighted by rookie No. 4 pick Kon Knueppel and forward Sion James out of Duke, former UConn wing Liam McNeeley UConn, and ex-Creighton center Ryan Kalkbrenner. The Hornets also traded to acquire guard Collin Sexton from Utah and acquired former Milwaukee wing Pat Connaughton.
