With Paul George agreeing to terms with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Los Angeles Clippers are now in pivot mode, attempting to assemble the strongest roster possible around Kawhi Leonard and James Harden.
After opting not to work out a sign-and-trade with George, he simply left as a free agent, resulting in the team making several quick moves.
But as the Clippers assemble their roster for the 2024-25 season, they've also been a popular team mentioned in various trade rumors.
The latest name linked to Los Angeles is Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges, although it would likely take a sign-and-trade to make the deal work.
According to Los Angeles Times insider Broderick Turner, discussions about a potential trade have already featured a few potential names who could be heading to Charlotte: sixth man Norman Powell and Terance Mann.
"Players who have been discussed for a possible deal include sixth man Norman Powell, who makes $19.2 million, and swingman Terance Mann, who makes $11.5 million," Turner wrote.
Powell, 31, and Mann, 27, would make sense for a Hornets team embracing a rebuild currently.
The former has two years remaining on his current deal and is set to make just north of $19.2 million this season. If the Hornets opted to keep Powell, he'd be a strong addition to the team's young core in whatever role he slid into.
As for Mann, he's set to play out the final year of his current deal and will make just over $11.4 million in 2024-25 before becoming a free agent next offseason.
Considering the Hornets' focus on acquiring draft picks in trades throughout the offseason and dating back to last year, it's likely they'll also attempt to add more draft capital in the deal.
