Free agent forward Isaiah Mobley, older brother of reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year Evan Mobley of the Cavaliers, has signed with Manisa Basket in Turkey, the team announced.
Mobley, who was selected 49th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, has spent the first three seasons of his professional career in the league but struggled to carve out a consistent role. The 6’8” forward made just 23 appearances for the Cavaliers and Sixers, averaging 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per game.
Mobley briefly joined the Sixers late in the 2024/25 season via a hardship exception due to injuries. He played 17 minutes in the team’s regular-season finale, contributing six points, five assists, and four rebounds in a loss to the Bulls.
While his NBA experience has been limited, Mobley shined in the G League, where he posted averages of 21.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game for the Cleveland Charge during the 2022/23 season.
He also had a strong Summer League performance in 2023, earning MVP honors in the championship game after scoring 28 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, leading the Cavs to the Las Vegas title.
Mobley will now join Manisa Basket, which is looking to rebound from a disappointing 2024-25 campaign that saw the team finish tied for 12th in Turkey’s Basketball Super League with an 11-19 record.
