Isaiah Thomas scores 10 points in Hornets debut

IT is officially on the board in Charlotte.

Isaiah Thomas made his Hornets debut Wednesday night, immediately making an impact off the bench and scoring 10 points in their 119-98 win over the Cavaliers.

With two and a half minutes left to play in the third quarter, Thomas brought the ball up for Charlotte. The ball moved around the floor before settling in the hands of Montrezl Harrell up top as Thomas set a screen for Kelly Oubre.

Harrell looked to Oubre for a second, causing the defense to sag off Thomas. He passed to Thomas then set a screen for the veteran point guard, who took one dribble before pulling up for a three that perfectly found the bottom of the net.

Thomas finished the game hitting 4-for-11 from the field and 2-for-7 from behind the arc. He also logged five rebounds, three assists and a steal.

The Hornets signed Thomas earlier this week to a 10-day contract after an incredible stretch of performances in the G-League. He scored 42, 45 and 46 over three straight games with the Grand Rapids Gold, the last of which came against the Charlotte-affiliated Greensboro Swarm.

Thomas has now played for 10 NBA franchises over his 12-year career, including one and a half seasons with Cleveland. He's a two-time All-Star and was named to an All-NBA Second Team in 2017 when with the Celtics.
