Ja Morant admits to losing joy with Memphis Grizzlies

After the Memphis Grizzlies’ defeat to the Detroit Pistons, Ja Morant addressed reporters and was asked directly whether he still found joy playing with the team. His response was brief.

Morant acknowledged that his joy has faded but didn’t provide a specific reason. He did imply, though, that he’d had discussions with coach Tuomas Iisalo about the situation.

Reporter: “Do you think you have the same joy right now we’re used to seeing?”

Ja Morant: “No.”

Reporter: “Why not?”

Ja Morant: (shrugs)

Reporter: “What can be done to get it back?”
