Brunson is expected to be able to return to basketball activities this summer, suggesting that he should be fine by training camp.
This news adds some additional context to Brunson’s remarkable playoff run. Presumably, the injury did not impact him that much, since there was no real sign of it and he still averaged 28.4 points per game throughout the playoffs and won Finals MVP. No wonder he was so emotional after winning it.
Brunson suffered a few other injury scares during the playoffs as well. Nothing ever kept him out for very long, though.
