The friendship between New York Knicks guards Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart dates back to their days at Villanova, and they often interact on- and off-court like only real friends can. In the postgame interview after their game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, the two had added one more to their list of hilarious interactions.
During the interview, Hart was wearing a Washington Commanders jersey and a noggin—an oversized cap with a circumference nearly double that of a wearer’s head—much to Brunson’s seeming annoyance. All of a sudden, Brunson, a Philadelphia Eagles fan, charged at Hart to try and remove his noggin.

Before Brunson’s attempt to take Hart’s noggin off, Hart jokingly talked about the size of Brunson’s head compared to his headwear.
“When I was (going to) pick the sizes, it was small, medium, large, then it said ‘JB’ (Jalen Brunson) with an asterisk, so I was like, whoa, what size is that?” he quipped.

Explaining why he bought the Commanders noggin, Hart said, “Yeah, man, Sundays are great days, because the Commanders play.”
The Eagles defeated the Commanders in their first meeting this season, 26-18. They will do battle once more on Dec. 22.
There has been considerable talk about NBA and NFL players switching sports over the past year. New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson is of the belief that NBA players would have it easier to transition to the NFL than it is the other way around.
Brunson attended an Eagles game in September. Before the game, Brunson was interviewed by Eagles center Jason Kelce, who asked him about the topic. Brunson explained his answer, citing the difficulty of defending the pick-and-roll. Kelce jokingly interrupted, saying, “I got this. I’m going right through the pick.”
Kelce then acknowledged the next-level athleticism of the athletes in the NBA. “I say this, I’m in the same boat as you, the most impressive thing I’ve ever done—sitting courtside on an NBA [court]. It is so astronomically mind-blowing how athletic you guys are out there, so kudos to the athleticism that’s out there,” the Eagles center said.
Jalen Brunson recently signed a four-year, $156.5 million extension with the Knicks, leaving $113 million on the table to help the franchise retain financial flexibility moving forward. Despite being a New Jersey native, he has frequently shown his support for the Eagles in the NFL.
