The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Indiana Pacers 120-109 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. After a huge performance, the Thunder are one win away from their first NBA title in franchise history. Game 5 started similarly to Game 1 of the Finals. The Thunder jumped out to a huge lead. The Pacers made a run as they usually do. However, the Thunder learned from their game 1 mistakes and held onto victory this time. The Thunder are a young, talented team, and this Finals is a learning experience. They have a great chance of being extremely great for years to come. Thunder All-Star Forward Jalen Williams said this about the Thunder’s victory postgame.
“That was honestly the same game as Game 1. Learning through these finals, that’s what makes a team good.”
Jalen Williams had a huge night for the Thunder. Williams scored 40 points on 14-for-25 shooting. He knocked down 3-for-5 from the three-point line. As well as hitting 9-for-12 from the free-throw line. Williams also grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists, and recorded a steal. A huge night for Williams, who had led the charge to get the Thunder one win from their first NBA title.
