The Denver Nuggets lost Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, ending their season in blowout fashion.
The Thunder beat the Nuggets in Game 7 by a final score of 125-93 to advance to the conference finals for the first time since 2016.
Behind Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, the Nuggets won the 2023 championship against the Miami Heat in five games. Many thought that was the beginning of a dynasty in Denver.
However, the Nuggets lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of last year's playoffs in seven games. It's now two years in a row Denver hasn't gotten past the conference semifinals.
Murray, though, still believes the Nuggets can win another title.

The Nuggets will not trade Jokic unless he requests a trade. Murray signed a four-year, $207 million extension with Denver in 2024, so he's probably not going anywhere anytime soon.
The goal for the Nuggets' front office this summer is to surround Jokic and Murray with more talent to compete in the rugged Western Conference. Both stars are likely not satisfied with just one ring.
Murray appeared in 67 games for the Nuggets during the regular season. He averaged 21.4 points and 6.0 assists.
The guard then put up 22.5 points and 5.5 assists per game in the 2025 postseason in 14 games versus the Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Murray has spent his entire career with the Nuggets. It will be fascinating to see if Denver wins another championship in the Jokic-Murray era.
The 28-year-old Murray has career averages of 18.0 points and 4.7 assists. He will make $46.4 million next season.
