James Harden Milsetone Announced During Clippers-Lakers

James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers are in action on Thursday night. They face off against their cross-town rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, in a home game at Intuit Dome. The Clippers are looking to secure a bounce-back victory on Thursday following Tuesday’s 138-110 blowout loss against the Chicago Bulls.

Harden has been a driving force for the Clippers this season. Entering the Lakers game, the former NBA MVP has produced averages of 26.0 points on 42.3% shooting, which is his highest scoring mark since the 2019-20 season. Harden is also putting up 4.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.3 steals per contest, while knocking down 3.1 triples on a a 34.2% clip.

Harden has been carrying a much heavier load for the Clippers of late. Kawhi Leonard has missed the last three games due to a knee injury. Leonard, however, returned to action on Thursday, reuniting with Harden on the court for the matchup against the Lakers.

It was Harden who took center stage in the game, though. The 36-year-old made NBA history by climbing the all-time steals leaderboard. The league took to social media to announce Harden’s latest career milestone.

Harden just passed four-time NBA champion Andre Iguodala for the No. 20 spot on the list. The Clippers star is now chasing Hall of Fame power forward Kevin Garnett. As of writing, Harden is still 93 steals behind Garnett.

Harden and the Clippers have been dominating LeBron James and Co. in this one. As of writing, the Clippers are up 79-56 with 4:25 left in the third quarter.
