James Harden takes a second shot at Daryl Morey

James Harden isn't backing down on his ploy to be traded from the Philadelphia 76ers. Just days after branding Daryl Morey as a liar, the 2018 MVP sent another clear message to his former front-office ally.

In a video that was released for KHOU 11, Harden notes how his relationship with Morey is beyond repair.

With every passing day, Harden's value is taking another gut punch. It's one thing to force your way out of a franchise when you're a top-10 player in the NBA.

To try and repeat the process when you're on the back nine of your career is a risk that many would have avoided. Sure, Harden is still an elite guard. Yet, the scoring that once made him one of the most feared players on the planet has now reverted to human-like levels.

Throughout the offseason, Harden has been linked with a potential trade to the Los Angeles Clippers. However, Steve Ballmer may be reluctant to pay the salary of a player who continually burns down bridges on the teams he represents.

At some point, the upside of implementing Harden's skillset into your rotation is outweighed by the risks he poses to the locker room.

Philadelphia certainly never expected such a bitter divorce when they acquired Harden from the Brooklyn Nets. Nevertheless, they find themselves in a similar situation to what they did with Ben Simmons, who was ironically part of the trade to acquire Harden in the first place.

Harden may feel like his relationship with Morey is beyond repair, but the truth is his relationship with the Sixers franchise will never recover - just like his relationship with Brooklyn. Harden is leaving a trail of destruction in his path. The question is, when will it stop?
