Philadelphia 76ers star Jared McCain has been hitting the weights this offseason as he works his way back from a knee injury, and it looks like he may be taking it a bit slow.
The 76ers shared a series of photos on social media Wednesday and asked fans “how we feelin’ about these?” One of the photos featured McCain sitting on a workout bench. That did not go over well for the former first-round pick.
The bench that McCain was sitting on had a power bar with very small weights on it. Though it is unlikely that McCain was actually working out, the photo made it seem like he was taking a break between sets of bench pressing 10 pounds.
Fans had a field day with the picture:

McCain and his teammates were in full uniform when the photos were taken. That means there is almost no chance McCain was in the middle of a workout, so he probably didn’t even realize how much weight was on the bar. If anything, the Sixers and the person who took the photos set him up to be trolled, albeit unintentionally.
McCain had his rookie season cut short by a knee injury. He had been averaging 15.3 points per game and looked like a Rookie of the Year candidate before he got hurt.
