Jason Kidd Makes Unexpected Decision After Mavs Loss on Monday

The Dallas Mavericks post-Luka Doncic era has not gotten off to a good start. On Saturday, new acquisition Anthony Davis suffered an injury.

On Sunday, it was announced that Davis would be out for an indefinite period with an adductor strain.

On Monday against the Sacramento Kings, Mavs big man Daniel Gafford had to be helped off the court with a knee injury.

On top of that, the Kings defeated the Mavs 129-128, with DeMar DeRozan scoring the game-winner with just two seconds left.

After the loss, Mavs head coach Jason Kidd made an expected decision and did not speak with reports after the game.

"Mavericks say Jason Kidd will not hold a post game press conference tonight," Tim Cato reported. "I’ve covered the NBA for 13 seasons and never before seen this."

It is an interesting move by the Mavs, and it's just another chapter in the tough times happening for Dallas.

Before Saturday's game against the Houston Rockets, fans were protesting outside of American Airlines Center as they were upset about the Doncic trade.

During the game against the Kings, a fan was seen on the jumbotron shouting "Fire Nico," and he was eventually kicked out because of it.

Now, in another odd twist, Kidd is not speaking to reporters after the loss to the Kings, although Klay Thompson and Kyrie Irving did speak to the media.

As of now, it remains to be seen why Kidd did not address the media, and it makes for another storyline to monitor in Dallas.
