Jaylen Brown has been in the NBA since 2016. Ever since the Boston Celtics drafted him with the No. 3 pick, he has been through many extensive playoff runs. In that time, he has had to go up against some of the NBA's best players, either currently or ever to play.

That includes LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, James Harden, Luka Doncic, Jimmy Butler, Kyrie Irving, Bam Adebayo, Trae Young, Jalen Brunson, and Karl-Anthony Towns.

Brown and the Celtics have often been victorious in the playoffs. When Brown and Jayson Tatum are healthy together, they have made five Eastern Conference Finals, two NBA Finals, and a title back in 2024. They've never been eliminated in the first round together and have been outed in the postseason in the conference semifinals only twice in 2019 and 2024.

Even with all the NBA legends and All-Stars Brown has gone up against, he admitted that none of the aforementioned players were his toughest cover. In fact, Brown revealed that the toughest player he's had to cover is one that fans are familiar with, but not one anyone would have expected.

"Marco Belinelli," Brown said during a live stream with PlaqueBoyMax. "...Marco Belinelli used to light me up, bro. He just used to never stop moving and I used to have to chase him around, the system we had. I used to chase Marco Belinelli around all these different screens, and like, he's not even getting the ball. He's still moving back and forth so you never know when he's about to take off full speed nd start running and catch the ball but... just fatigued bro."

The Celtics Played Against Marco Belinelli in the 2018 Playoffs

Brown and Belinelli were in the NBA at the same time from 2016 to 2020. The only time the two went up against each other in the playoffs was in 2018 during the Eastern Conference Semifinals, when Belinelli played for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Going into the series, Belinelli had played a pivotal role in the Sixers' gentleman's sweep of the Miami Heat in the first round. In five games, he averaged 16.6 points while shooting 45.2% from the field and 36.7% from three.

The Celtics made him basically a non-factor in the next series, which factored into how they beat the Sixers in a gentleman's sweep. Belinelli averaged 9.2 points while shooting 34.1% from the field and 31.3% from three. His most notable contribution was hitting a game-tying shot in Game 3 that Philadelphia mistakenly thought was the game-winning shot.

The Sixers went on to lose the game in overtime, which put them in a 3-0 hole and all but sealed their fate.
