Trey Alexander will sign a two-way contract with the Jazz, sources tell Jake Fischer of The Stein Line (Twitter link).

The 23-year-old shooting guard appeared in nine games with the Pelicans this season after joining the team on a two-way deal last July. He averaged 5.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 12.3 minutes per night with .514/.500/.600 shooting numbers. He was much more productive with the G League’s Birmingham Squadron, posting 23.9 PPG in 26 games.

After going undrafted out of Creighton in 2024, Alexander began his career on a two-way contract with Denver. He saw limited playing time in 24 NBA games that season, but earned G League Rookie of the Year honors with the Grand Rapids Gold.

Blake Hinson and Tamar Bates currently hold two-way contracts with Utah, so all three of the team’s slots will be filled when Alexander’s deal is finalized. Obviously, that’s something that could change several times before the start of next season.
