The Utah Jazz have announced they will hold a live scrimmage on Saturday, October 21, at 11:00 a.m. MDT at the Delta Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., and admission is free.
The live event will occur four days before the regular-season opener versus the Sacramento Kings.
Jazz head coach Will Hardy should have his rotation in place heading into the event, but all bets are off regarding the roster's makeup after Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reported that Talen Horton-Tucker could be on the trade block.
Trading ‘THT’ would free up a path for Keyonte George and Kris Dunn to share the point guard duties to begin the season. Where it stands today, Horton-Tucker is penciled in as the starter at the one, while Jordan Clarkson will begin the game at the two.
Also, closure is just around the corner on which players will make the roster. The deadline date this year is October 23 at 3:00 MDT.
The Jazz must carry no more than 15 players on standard contracts and three on two-way deals. Josh Christopher, Johny Juzang, and Micah Potter are poised to make the team with two-way contracts.
Finally, Utah has one more preseason game before the live scrimmage. On Thursday, Utah faces the Kings at 7:00 p.m. MDT at the Delta Center.
