The New York Knicks have shocked many in the NBA world after taking a 2-0 series lead against the Boston Celtics.
Perhaps even more impressive, they did so playing in TD Garden. They will now return home to Madison Square Garden with the opportunity to put the series away at home.
Like in the Detroit series, the Knicks have won both games in dramatic fashion by overcoming significant fourth-quarter deficits for last-second wins.
Perhaps nobody is loving this series more than Karl-Anthony Towns.
Towns talked with reporters about growing up in the tri-state area and being able to watch the greats that have come during his youth.
Two of the names, you'd expect: Vince Carter with the New Jersey Nets and Allen Iverson with the Philadelphia 76ers. The last player he gave a shoutout to was former Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin.
"Even to this day, I still have my Jeremy Lin stuff," Towns said.
Lin took notice of the Kentucky product's comments and showed respect with his response.
"Respect. Forever love for the New York Knicks. Rooting for you as the series heads back home to NY," Lin's post read.

While Lin's run with the Knicks was short, it was an electrifying time that almost any fan of the league would remember from that time.
Lin used that run to his advantage and signed a three-year deal with the Houston Rockets worth $25.1 million.
While that might not sound like a lot now, with the record-breaking salaries we see yearly, that was a pretty penny back in 2012.
