The Golden State Warriors entered Monday’s Game 4 matchup against the Houston Rockets looking to take advantage of having home court and take a commanding lead in the series.

That is exactly what they were able to do as Golden State pulled out a hard-fought 109-106 victory to take a 3-1 lead in the series.

Jimmy Butler led the way for the Warriors despite playing through an injury and he also came up clutch down the stretch with key free throws.

Butler ended the game with 27 points, five rebounds and six assists and led the Warriors to a crucial Game 4 victory.

Of course, Butler’s addition to the team at the trade deadline was a massive one for the Warriors this season as he has completely turned their season around.

After Monday’s victory, Butler sent a massive message to the Warriors and his teammates while also taking a shot at his old team in the Miami Heat.

“I got my joy back as some would say,” Butler told TNT’s Allie LaForce after Monday’s Game 4 victory over the Rockets.

It is clear that Butler has gotten his joy back since joining the Warriors at the trade deadline after requesting a trade out of Miami.

Of course, Butler’s old team in the Heat were swept on Monday by the Cleveland Cavaliers while the star forward was able to lead the Warriors to a victory over the Rockets to take a commanding lead in their series.

Butler has saved the Warriors’ season thus far and they look as though they are set to make another deep playoff run and contend for another championship thanks to their star trio of Butler, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

Golden State will now look to wrap up their first round series in Houston on Wednesday night with a victory to advance to the second round of the playoffs.
