Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was willing to try whatever in Game 2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
With Stephen Curry going down with a hamstring strain in Game 1 of the second-round series, the Warriors have been left searching for answers as they wait for the superstar guard's return.
Kerr played 14 different players in the first half. One of those players, who hasn't been in the rotation as of late, is Jonathan Kuminga.
The former lottery pick had a strong regular season before suffering an ankle injury that sidelined him for two months, as he averaged over 15 points per game.
In Game 2, with Curry absent, Kuminga scored 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting, having logged 26 minutes.
“I feel like the confidence just came back," Kuminga said after the game.
When Kuminga finally returned from injury, Golden State had already acquired Jimmy Butler. When the two shared the hardwood, Kuminga's production took a hit.
Many assumed the two forwards couldn't play alongside one another.
In Game 2, Butler and Kuminga were able to share the court while staying in rhythm. After the game, Butler set the record straight about himself and Kuminga.
“I can play with anybody. He can play with anybody… Me and JK could thrive; can and will thrive together on the basketball floor," Butler explained.

While many fans claim their on-court dynamic is the reason Kuminga can't stay on the hardwood, Butler doesn't agree with that sentiment.
The Warriors might have to lean on that duo again in Game 3 as Curry remains sidelined, and the club can take a 2-1 lead over the Timberwolves with the series headed to their home floor.
