The Oklahoma City Thunder is wreaking havoc in the postseason round 2. And the Los Angeles Lakers do not seem to have an answer. Or do they? Well, looking at the scoreline, it does feel that the Lakers are being thoroughly dominated. But in reality, the team is fuming with the officiating at the moment.

Ahead of the series, James warned his team about Thunder’s physicality. Even then, Games 1, 2, and 3 have witnessed multiple instances of the Lakers’ stars complaining. A recently uploaded video on X showed a compilation of LeBron James, JJ Redick, and Luka Doncic expressing frustration with the officiating.

And the instances are not one-off. Back in Game 2, the Lakers’ head coach went off on Ben Taylor. He accused the referee of missing out on multiple foul calls against the defending champions. Well, if that was not enough, there’s more. During Game 3, the 41-year-old legend complained to the referee after officials failed to award him a free throw.

Meanwhile, not only the trio of Doncic, James, and Redick. Austin Reaves also appeared unhappy with the officiating.

Austin Reaves Joins LeBron James And Co. To Vent Out Against The Referees

Game 2 saw the Lakers’ head coach pick up a technical foul for his outburst on the officials. Reaves, too, had quite a heated moment on the hardwood, arguing with the referee. Triggering some strong reactions following his conduct, the 27-year-old explained how he felt disrespected.

I felt like I was respectful to all of them all night. A million times in the past, I’ve said way worse stuff. And when we were doing the whole tip ball and they were switching spots, I wanted to get on the other side because they had a guy on the other side, was just trying to keep an advantage. And he turned around and yelled in my face. I just thought it was disrespectful. The whole time that was going on over there, I don’t think he said much to them,” said Reaves.

Surely, with the discontent regarding the officiating growing, the league might have to intervene soon.
