The Golden State Warriors have not had the kind of start to the season they had envisioned.
After trading for Jimmy Butler at last season’s trade deadline, the Golden State Warriors made a run and were able to knock out the No. 2 seed Houston Rockets in the playoffs.
They lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the playoffs mainly because Stephen Curry got hurt. Therefore, the expectations coming into this season were sky high.
But injuries have hit the Warriors and a lack of consistent play has resulted in them having a 13-14 record for 8th place in the Western Conference.
The Warriors’ last defeat was a new low for them as they lost to the Portland Trail Blazers for the third time this season, despite Stephen Curry scoring 48 points.
This trade would solve two big problems for the Golden State Warriors!

After the Warriors’ 136-132 loss to the Blazers on Sunday, one Warriors fan on Reddit, Justin Dutari (u/Justdutari), sent an email at 8:44 p.m. PT to Warriors owner Joe Lacob.
Dutari had a subject line of “Please read,” and wrote:
“Dear Joe,
Please do something about this team. What [does] Steph [Curry] need to do every night to win? Drop 50 points? Team is [in] need [of] a real second option. Jimmy [Butler’s] tools are being underutilized because he is playing as a power forward due to the small position players. We have no true center.
I am so frustrated.
Thanks,
Justin”
Lacob then actually responded to the email, writing:
“You can’t be as frustrated as me. I am working on it. It’s complicated. Style of play. Coaches desires regarding players. League trends. Jimmy is not the problem.
Joe”
Lacob responding to the fan clearly shows he deeply cares about the Warriors.
What would you do if you were in charge of the Golden State Warriors?

The Warriors do have flaws on their team, mainly with their center position. Therefore, it seems likely that Lacob and management will push for another trade before this season’s trade deadline.
The Warriors are trying to maximize what’s left of Curry’s career and they are not going to win with this current group.
