Josh Hart is thrilled to have a new player on the New York Knicks who will give them a huge boost next season.

The New York Knicks made some big changes this offseason. After a heartbreaking loss in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Knicks felt they needed a new approach.

The first step for the New York Knicks was firing Tom Thibodeau as head coach. What ensued was a long and, quite frankly, embarrassing hunt for a new head coach.

But eventually, they got their man, as the Knicks hired Mike Brown as their next coach. While this hunt was ongoing, the Knicks did sign some important players.

The Knicks landed Guerschon Yabusele from the 76ers in a brilliant deal. The Knicks also recruited Jordan Clarkson from the Utah Jazz.

Josh Hart praises Guerschon Yabusele for bringing what is needed

Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson had New York Knicks teammate Guerschon Yabusele on their podcast recently.

Hart took a moment during the podcast to praise Yabusele, telling him that all the things he does well are what the Knicks sorely needed to add to their roster.

“It’s gonna be great. The depth that we have. What you bring in terms of being able to play big, play small, stretch the court, rebound, and defend. It’s gonna be good.

“What you bring is really what we needed. We needed that, and we also needed scoring off the bench, which obviously, JC is gonna help a lot with. I’m excited about it.”

New York Knicks primed for success next season

The New York Knicks, despite their Eastern Conference Finals loss, are in a brilliant position to compete for an NBA championship next season.

The Knicks’ biggest rivals in the East had their teams impacted, as three big NBA superstars suffered season-ending Achilles injuries.

With the East now cleared out, the Knicks will have a clear path to the NBA Finals. However, they cannot take things for granted.

Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns must step up for the team and lead from the front. If they don’t deliver at a high level, the Knicks might suffer some setbacks.

But it’s hard to look at their entire roster and not deem them the early, prohibitive favorites to emerge from the East.
