Josh Oduro Signs With Melbourne United

Oduro, 25, went undrafted in 2024 after playing four years of college basketball for George Mason and one for Providence. He spent 2024/25 in the G League with the Pelicans’ affiliate team after signing an Exhibit 10 deal with New Orleans to secure a bonus.

After signing another Exhibit 10 contract and then being waived by New Orleans before the 2025/26 campaign began, Oduro again spent most of his his second professional season in the NBAGL, averaging 15.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals in 43 games (29.3 minutes per contest).

A 6’9″ forward/center, Oduro was promoted to a two-way contract in early March. He appeared in the Pelicans’ final three games of last season, averaging 8.3 PPG and 7.7 RPG in 27.3 MPG. Now he’ll be headed to Australia to join a Melbourne United team that also features Joe Ingles and Luke Travers.
