Karl-Anthony Towns' Blunt Response to Draymond Green Question During Knicks-Warriors

The New York Knicks suffered a close defeat to the Golden State Warriors, 97-94, at Chase Center on Saturday.

The Knicks tried to mount a late comeback in the fourth quarter but ultimately fell short, with Warriors forward Draymond Green making four straight points in the final minute to give them enough cushion. Steph Curry finished things off for Golden State with three free throws.

Karl-Anthony Towns had a huge game for the Knicks, tallying game-highs of 29 points and 12 rebounds for his 47th double-double of the season.

In the middle of the game, Towns was interviewed by ESPN reporter Lisa Salters and was asked about getting extra motivation "when someone says something about you that you don't like."

The 29-year-old Towns didn't hesitate with his blunt response.

“Nah, I’m keeping it about the New York Knicks," said the five-time All-Star in a video posted on X. "It’s not about anything off the court. It’s about the Knicks.”

While Salters didn't mention the 35-year-old Green, the Warriors veteran recently made a false claim about Towns. Green said the New York star purposedly missed their game early this month because he was ducking Golden State forward Jimmy Butler.

It was later revealed that Towns didn't suit up because he was with his girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, who lost a dear friend. When informed about it, Green offered his condolences but didn't apologize.

Towns brushed off the response, saying he chose to "approach that with love and not hate."

Green and Towns had a verbal spat in their game on Saturday, with the former telling the latter to "go sit on the bench" after picking up a third foul. The Knicks big man simply laughed it off.
