Karl-Anthony Towns’ Injury Status Before Warriors-Knicks

Karl-Anthony Towns has been a godsend for the New York Knicks this season.

After spending the first nine seasons of his NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Towns was traded to the New York Knicks.

In return, the Timberwolves received Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo and Keita Bates-Diop with a 2025 first-round pick.

Towns was always talented in Minnesota, but frustrating. In the playoffs last season, he had a tendency to get into foul trouble.

Foul trouble would be bad enough, but it always seemed like the worst fouls at the worst times. Late in the shot clock, 30-plus feet away from the basket, etc.

Towns has meshed with the Knicks roster quite well this season. They sit third in the Eastern Conference at 40-20.

Some weren't sure how Towns would fit next to Brunson, but it's turned into a revelation.

In 2021, Towns stated that he was the greatest shooting big man of all time. In his first season with the Knicks, he's hitting a career-high 42.5% of his 3-point attempts.

Karl-Anthony Towns gets injury update ahead of Warriors matchup.

Towns seemed to have suffered a left knee injury in the team's loss to the Boston Celtics back on Feb. 23.

He missed one game against the Philadelphia 76ers but has played in the two games since.

The Knicks vs Warriors matchup could be a great one, but Towns popped up on the injury report.

Towns is listed as "questionable" due to personal reasons.

While the matchup could end up missing one of its biggest stars in Towns, Knicks fans are likely taking a sigh of relief that it's not his knee or another injury that could keep Towns from playing.

Towns has averaged 23.1 points, 11.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in 24 games against the Warriors in his career.
