Kevin Durant put the Phoenix Suns on his back with the team's season teetering on the brink of disaster and Bradley Beal out. Then Devin Booker finished the job.

After an excellent screen by Oso Ighodaro and a poor defensive decision by Gary Trent, Jr., Booker hit a go-ahead jumper in the final seconds to give the Suns a 108-106 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. It was the Suns' fourth straight win, all without Beal.
They wouldn't have been in a position to win without Durant. Three nights after scoring 42 points in a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Durant scored 38 points Monday night, shooting 7-for-9 on three-pointers. The last one gave the Suns a one-point lead with 24 seconds to go.

Giannis Antetokounmpo nearly matched Durant's heroics, putting up 31 points and 10 rebounds while dishing five assists. But the rest of the Bucks couldn't provide enough offense with Damian Lillard out, even while getting 12 steals and winning the turnover battle 16-7. They needed a big three from the Greek Freak to stay in the game late.

And while he had a big four-point play late, Kyle Kuzma shot 5-for-14 and made some genuinely bizarre plays during the loss.

The Suns still have the NBA's toughest remaining schedule the rest of the way, but they also have Durant. The win pushed them closer to the play-in and the Bucks close to what would have been unthinkable a year ago: Finishing behind the Detroit Pistons.
