Kendrick Perkins, the former NBA player turned ESPN analyst, has stirred up excitement among Oklahoma City Thunder fans with his latest bold prediction.

The Thunder, with a commendable 46-10 record, are currently the top team in the Western Conference. Despite their impressive performance this season, some critics remain skeptical about their ability to reach the NBA Finals.

Perkins, however, is not one of those skeptics. His confidence in the Thunder stems from their depth and resilience.

He thinks the team's success comes from the efforts of various players who are consistently prepared to rise to the occasion and battle for the entire 48 minutes of each game.

“Whoever don’t fear OKC, I feel sorry for y’all. Because they’re going to the NBA Finals,” Perkins said.

The Thunder are facing significant attention as a result of this powerful endorsement. All eyes are on them to make a deep run to the playoffs.

While stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren often steal the spotlight, other players such as Jalen Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Aaron Wiggins have also made significant contributions.

This was particularly evident in their recent victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, where Gilgeous-Alexander scored 37 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists, with strong performances from his teammates.

Perkins' prediction is not just based on the Thunder's current record but also on their overall performance and potential.

He believes that their defense, depth, and the presence of a bonafide superstar in Gilgeous-Alexander make them a team to be feared.

The Thunder's next game is against the Timberwolves. The Thunder are coming off a recent victory over the Timberwolves and will be looking to continue their winning streak.

With both teams having played each other just 24 hours prior, it will be interesting to see how they adjust and perform in this back-to-back showdown.
