Kevin Durant and Taylor Rooks Make Announcement on Wednesday

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant is one of the NBA's most accomplished superstars. A two-time Finals MVP, 15-time All-Star and four-time scoring champion, Durant will be in the Basketball Hall of Fame as soon as he is eligible.

Off the court, Durant has also found a lot of success. With nearly $450 million in career earnings just from his NBA contracts (via Spotrac), Durant has expanded his business ventures beyond basketball.

In 2019, Durant launched Boardroom with his agent and business partner Rich Kleiman. This sports, media and entertainment company is based in New York City and experienced much of its initial growth while Durant was playing for the Brooklyn Nets.

While Durant is no longer in Brooklyn, his New York-based media brand has continued its expansion. On Wednesday, Durant and NBA broadcaster Taylor Rooks announced their collaboration on the new Boardroom Members Club.

"Introducing Boardroom Members Club: An exclusive membership community designed to provide unparalleled networking and experiences for professionals across industries," Rooks and Boardroom shared in a joint post on Instagram. "And that’s not all—sports media personality Taylor Rooks is joining as both a Board of Advisors member and a strategic partner, bringing her expertise and influence to the Boardroom team.⁠"

In addition to the post on his media brand's official account, Durant announced this news on his Instagram story. Rooks also added a statement on her new partnership with Durant and Kleiman.

"I’m beyond thrilled to join Boardroom in this new capacity and broaden my involvement with a company that has been home to some of my favorite multimedia stories and live events at sports’ biggest moments," Rooks said in an article posted on Boardroom's website . "Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman have built something truly special—highlighting the intersection of sports, business, and entertainment in a way that pushes the industry forward."
