The Phoenix Suns are set to host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night, but they may be without one of their star players.
Kevin Durant is currently listed as questionable for the contest with a left thumb injury. While Durant is listed as questionable, it is likely that the superstar forward will play after participating in shootaround on Wednesday morning.
For the Suns, they need Durant in the lineup to continue their recent hot streak. Phoenix has won three consecutive games and eight of their last 10 contests. They now sit eighth in the Western Conference standings with a 24-21 record after falling all the way to 12th in the standings.
While Durant will likely play, Phoenix may be without their star rookie Ryan Dunn. Dunn missed the Suns’ win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday due to a left ankle sprain. He is questionable for Wednesday’s matchup, but he did say that he wants to play.
Of course, if Dunn is to miss the game expect head coach Mike Budenholzer to either turn to Bradley Beal or Royce O’Neal to replace him in the starting lineup.
For the Timberwolves, they will be without Donte DiVincenzo and possibly both Naz Reid and Robert Dillingham, who are both questionable. Minnesota is also on a three-game winning streak, and this is a major matchup between the two teams as they sit seventh and eighth in the West standings.
Fans can catch Wednesday night’s matchup between the Suns and Timberwolves at 9:00 p.m. EST.
