It's been nearly a decade since Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder following the 2015-16 NBA season.
Durant entered the league as the second overall pick by the then-Seattle Supersonics in 2007 before the franchise moved to Oklahoma City in 2008. He looked poised to become the greatest player in franchise history before shockingly leaving for the Golden State Warriors in July 2016.
Fast forward to today, and some fans still hold a grudge, continuing to boo Durant when he sets foot in their arena. However, the future Hall of Famer knows it has become a bit of a tradition, so he doesn't dwell on it too much.
“It's part of the brand of OKC to boo me when my name gets introduced, but I think it's all love after that," Durant said after the Rockets' double-overtime loss to the Thunder, via Michael Shapiro of the Houston Chronicle.
He also acknowledged that he's gotten plenty of love from Thunder fans, and he still has love for them as well:
"Walking onto the court, at the hotel, walking around town, every time I come here, it's just so much love and respect," Durant said. "People always telling me they appreciate my time here, and I feel the same way."

Durant made the best decision for himself and his career. Although he never fulfilled his apparent destiny as OKC's greatest player ever, he still averaged 27.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 641 games for the Thunder and led them to the NBA Finals in 2012, where they lost to the Miami Heat.
