The Kevin Durant trade speculation continues with the Phoenix Suns attempting to find a suitable deal for their roster, despite what KD might want.
Durant, a two-time champion, already expressed disinterest in joining the Minnesota Timberwolves, but there could still be a deal made.
Previous rumors and reports suggested that the Wolves might part ways with center Rudy Gobert to make this trade work. Gobert appears to still be in play for a trade.
However, there would need to be several other roster members included in that, one of which could be a future star in the league.
The Timberwolves hold the No. 17 draft pick for the 2025 NBA Draft, so it might not be an issue.
Draft picks are mentioned a lot with KD rumors, and one of their other young stars is now being mentioned in a speculative trade.
Recent remarks from Forbes' Evan Sidery indicate that Minnesota would need to include guard Rob Dillingham in their deal with the Suns.
Sidery notes the expectation would be that Dillingham joins Devin Booker as his "new long-term backcourt partner" for the Suns.

As mentioned above, the trade with Phoenix would also involve Timberwolves star center Rudy Gobert, and reserve scoring option Donte DiVincenzo.
Dillingham was the Spurs’ No. 8 pick in last year’s NBA Draft, but they immediately traded him to the Wolves on draft night. In exchange, Minnesota sent the Spurs a 2030 protected first-round pick swap and an unprotected first-round pick in 2031
The former Kentucky Wildcats guard played in 49 games for Minnesota last season, starting in one. Dillingham averaged 4.5 points, two assists, and one rebound per game during those appearances.
He also contributed somewhat during Minnesota’s playoff run, appearing in three games, but his production dipped to averages of 2.7 points, 2.3 assists, and 0.7 rebounds a game.
Dillingham might have been the plan for the Timberwolves to replace veteran guard Mike Conley in their backcourt. However, a trade for Durant would nix that idea as the team wants to contend for an NBA Championship now.
Even so, the Wolves hold a decent-enough draft pick that they could replace Dillingham with another young guard in the 2025 NBA Draft, unless he's part of the Suns trade.
