Key Timberwolves Player Forced to Exit Game 1 vs. Warriors With Concerning Injury

The Golden State Warriors were dealt a brutal blow in the first half of Tuesday's Game 1 matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This is after two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry was forced to exit the game in the second quarter due to a leg injury.

The Warriors later revealed that Curry would not be able to return to the game after being diagnosed with a left hamstring strain.

Unfortunately, the Wolves also lost one of their key guys right before halftime. This came in the form of 2024 Sixth Man of the Year Naz Reid, who left the game with what appears to be an eerily similar injury to that of Curry.

In the video below, Reid is seen limping to the bench, seemingly favoring his left leg as he exited the game.

Reid headed to the locker room after the play, and the Wolves have yet to provide an update on his status as of writing.

Reid has been a crucial piece for Minnesota in the postseason. In their five-game series against the Los Angeles Lakers, the 6-foot-9 big man averaged 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 blocks in 24.0 minutes off the bench. He was also a real threat from beyond the arc, knocking down 2.2 triples per contest on a highly efficient 50% clip.

An update on Reid's injury should come out soon but until then, Wolves fans will need to hope and pray that this isn't a serious concern.

UPDATE: Reid was seen warming up on the court ahead of the second half.
