The Sacramento Kings have had an interesting offseason thus far as they have tried to upgrade their roster around their core of Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine to chase a playoff spot next season.
Sacramento has made multiple moves this offseason as they selected Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud in the 2025 NBA Draft and they then landed Dennis Schroder in free agency via a sign-and-trade with the Detroit Pistons.
They have also been linked to many other players as Russell Westbrook and Ben Simmons have all come up in rumors surrounding the Kings but they have also recently been linked to a young forward from the Golden State Warriors.
That player is restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga who may be on the move this summer after he rejected the Warriors’ contract offer on Thursday.

Later on Thursday, ESPN’s Shams Charania revealed the Kings’ contract offer to Kumigna along with what they are willing to give up in a sign-and-trade with the Warriors for him.
According to Charania, the Kings have offered Kuminga a four-year contract totaling around $90 million that also includes a player option.

He also reported that Sacramento is willing to include a future first-round pick in a potential trade for Kuminga.
Of course, trade rumors surrounding the Kings and Kuminga have grown over the past few weeks and it was also revealed that Sacramento offered a trade package of Devin Carter, Dario Saric and a protected first-round pick for the young forward.
This trade package did not entice the Warriors and if Golden State does not lower their high asking price for Kuminga, the Kings may have to increase their offer.
Despite this, Kuminga has not seen a ton of interest from other teams this summer and because of this, the Warriors may be forced to lower their asking price if he wants to leave Golden State.
