Kings forward Leaky Black has had his Exhibit 10 contract converted to a two-way deal, the team announced today in a press release (Twitter link via Marc Stein).

Sacramento had an open two-way contract slot, so no corresponding roster move was necessary to convert Black. All three of the Kings’ two-way openings are now filled, with Black joining Adam Flagler and Jonathan Mogbo.

Black, who played his college ball at UNC from 2018-23, made 26 appearances as a rookie while on a two-way contract with the Hornets in 2023/24, then finished the 2025/26 season on a two-way deal with Washington, playing in another 15 regular season contests for the Wizards. He holds career averages of 4.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 17.5 minutes per game at the NBA level, with a .419/.373/.739 shooting line.

When he hasn’t been in the NBA, Black has been competing in the G League. Last season, he saw action in 38 games for the Capital City Go-Go and averaged 10.3 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 3.4 APG. Known as a stout defender, the 27-year-old also averaged 2.1 steals per contest for the Wizards’ NBAGL affiliate.

Black has contributed 7.7 PPG, 3.7 RPG, and 1.3 SPG on .538/.625/1.000 shooting for the Kings in three preseason outings, earning him a promotion. A team has the ability to unilaterally convert an Exhibit 10 contract to a two-way deal at any time until Monday, the last day before the regular season begins.
