The Sacramento Kings intend to hire Will Scott as head coach of the G League’s Stockton Kings, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Scott has been with the Kings in one coaching capacity or another since 2019, most recently serving as an assistant with Sacramento. He is also the former associate head coach with Stockton (2023-24).
His NBA/G League career began in 2014, when Scott served as the video coordinator with the South Bay Lakers. He eventually lande d the job of head video coordinator with the Lakers in 2018.
Stockton finished 22-12 last season on its way to capturing the G League championship. It marked the first title for the franchise.
Sacramentio is beginning its first full year under head coach Doug Christie, who replaced Mike Brown about midway through last season.
