The start of the 2025-26 NBA season is less than a month away and teams are trying to finalize deals ahead of the start of the preseason.
One of these team is the Sacramento Kings who have had a busy offseason as they have made multiple moves to bolster their roster to chase a playoff spot in the Western Conference this season.
Of course, the Kings elected to keep their core of Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine together this offseason despite many around the NBA expecting them to start a rebuild.
Sacramento also added Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud in the 2025 draft and signed Dennis Schroder in free agency to fill their void at the starting point guard position.
On Tuesday, the Kings made another move as they signed Terence Davis to an Exhibit 10 contract.

The Kings had released Davis earlier this offseason but the 28-year-old forward will now return to Sacramento to fight for a roster spot ahead of the start of the regular season.
While this move could have an impact on one of the Kings’ final roster spots entering the season, it could also have a major impact on a former NBA MVP.
That would be Russell Westbrook, who has been linked to the Kings for most of the offseason.
Of course, Westbrook has not drawn much interest from around the NBA this offseason and earlier this offseason NBA insider Jake Fischer reported that the veteran guard may not be in the NBA at all this season as the Kings look to be the one home for him.
“The Kings are the one home for Russell Westbrook if he’s going to be in the NBA at all,” Fischer reported late in August.

Since Fischer’s report, Westbrook has continued to draw little interest and while the Kings have shown interest in him, they have yet to sign him.
Now with Sacramento adding Davis on Tuesday, they may no longer be interested in signing Westbrook this offseason, which does not bode well for the former MVP entering the new season.
Despite this, the Kings are in need of depth at the point guard position and they could still get a deal done with Westbrook at some point as they try to make push for the playoffs in the loaded West this season.
