The Kings have signed rookie guard Emanuel Sharp to a three-year deal worth a total of $6.35MM, Michael Scotto reports for HoopsHype (Twitter link).
Signed using the second-round pick exception, Sharp’s deal will pay him his minimum salary, with a team option on the third year. Scotto confirms that the first two years of the deal are fully guaranteed.
Sharp was selected 45th overall in the 2026 draft after averaging 15.5 points per game on .413/.372/.891 shooting splits as a senior with Houston and showing himself to be a tough and willing defender.
After the draft, it was reported that Sharp would “definitely” be on the team’s 15-man roster rather than on a two-way deal. His contract will carry a lower cap/tax/apron hit than a veteran’s minimum deal, which could come in handy for a Kings team that finds itself with limited financial wiggle room after Zach LaVine exercised his $49MM player option.
