Dallas Mavericks' shooting guard Klay Thompson finished a rather discreet first season with the Texas franchise after ending a 13-year tenure with the Golden State Warriors.
Thompson didn't have the best departure from the Dubs due to his contract demands and the team's plans to move on from him, but he was welcomed with open arms in Dallas, where he was expected to create a dangerous trio with Luka Doncic (before his trade to the Los Angeles Lakers) and Kyrie Irving.
After his season came to an end at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in tournament, Thompson and Co. entered the offseason with several questions to answer.
The four-time NBA champion, who averaged 14.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in the 2024-25 season, is making some changes ahead of the next campaign.
A short video shared by "NBA Central" on X shows Thompson's physical change. After many years rocking a taper fade haircut, he changed it to a low bald taper.

It didn't take long for the fans to react to Thompson's new look. They didn't mince words when assessing the haircut and compared the player to other high-profile sports figures.
"Bro looks like the fake Klay Thompson now," one fan said.
"This is not it. Fire the barber ASAP," another fan said.
"ohhh no," a third fan said.

Thompson signed with the Mavericks in 2024, carrying huge expectations about his potential impact on a team that just came off an NBA Finals appearance. His championship pedigree was expected to help Doncic, Irving and Co. reach the next level, but as we all know now, the season went on a completely different way.
The former Warriors star joined forces with Irving and Anthony Davis after the Doncic trade, but injuries prevented fans from seeing how well this team could play.
Many fans thought the new (old) haircut could bring the old version of Thompson, but time will tell if his new look helps the guard improve his numbers.
