With the NBA offseason officially underway, trade rumors have begun to heat up as many teams are searching the trade market to upgrade their roster and better their odds of winning a championship next season.
Among these teams are the New York Knicks, who are coming off a solid season that saw them finish third in the Eastern Conference before reaching the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.
Despite their success, New York began their offseason with a surprising move as they fired head coach Tom Thibodeau and they continue to interview candidates to fill their head coaching vacancy.
The Knicks could also look to upgrade their roster this summer, primarily their bench, as they try to chase a title next season, though they may be looking at making a larger move after a recent report.
According to ESPN’s Frank Isola, Mikal Bridges and Mitchell Robinson’s names have come up in trade talks.

This is a massive report by Isola as it appears that New York could be thinking about making a major change to their roster.
While that may be the case, Bridges being included in trade talks is surprising after New York gave up a ton to get him from the Brooklyn Nets last season, including five first-round picks.
Despite the hefty package it took for New York to land Bridges last season, it appears they could use him to go out and acquire another star this offseason after his struggles in his first season with the franchise.
Of course, Robinson’s name has come up in trade rumors over the last several seasons and it appears a trade may be imminent as New York tries to upgrade their roster around Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Either way, it appears as though the Knicks may be in line to make a major trade this summer as they chase a title next season.
