NBA free agency got off to a hot start on Monday as many teams around the league worked quickly to upgrade their roster to chase a championship next season.
Among those teams were the New York Knicks who made a move to sign former Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson.

With this move, the Knicks were able to upgrade their second unit, especially on the offensive end.
While this was a solid move for the Knicks, they are expected to show interest in many other players on the free agent market and they have recently joined the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors in pursuing a champion from the Boston Celtics.
According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, the Knicks, Celtics, Warriors, Lakers, Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers have all shown interest in signing veteran center Al Horford.
Al Horford has received interest from several contending teams since the start of free agency, including the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers, league sources told @hoopshype.

Of course, Horford has been linked to the Warriors and Lakers due to their need of a starting center but the Knicks have quietly emerged as a potential suitor for the champion big man.
Last season, the 39-year-old center averaged 9.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 42.3% from the field and 36.3% from three-point range.
Despite being near the end of his career, Horford has continued to play a key role for the Celtics and he could do the same on a new team next season, including the Knicks.
If he does land in New York, he would give the Knicks a great scorer off the bench and also a solid rebounder and defender next to Mitchell Robinson, who has been in trade rumors.
Most of all, Horford would bring veteran leadership and championship experience to a team that currently lacks it as the Knicks try to take advantage of a weakened Eastern Conference next season and make a run at a title.
