The New York Knicks prepared to battle the Indiana Pacers on the hardwood Saturday night with their season on the line facing elimination down three games to two in their Eastern Conference Finals series.

The Knicks last made the NBA Finals in 1999, when they lost four games to one to the San Antonio Spurs.

New York's 1999 team was led in scoring by high flying shooting guard Latrell Sprewell, who averaged 26 points per game, 6.6 assists per game and 1.4 steals per game during the Finals.

Recently, Sprewell sent a message to fans of classic hoops sneakers as he called to mind a famous shoe that could be making a comeback in 2026.

"Who remembers these. They might be making a comeback in 2026," Sprewell wrote recently as he teased the return of his Dada Supreme Spinners shoe next year.

Sprewell averaged 18.3 points and over four assists and four rebounds per game during his career in the NBA.

The former Knicks and Timberwolves star popularized the unique style of shoe with his play on the court as one of the NBA's top shooting guards.

Game 6 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis began with the Pacers jumping out to an early 20-15 lead as the first quarter got underway.

Pacers legend Reggie Miller and point guard Tyrese Haliburton both wore all-black or mostly all-black funeral themed outfits as they entered Gainbridge Fieldhouse in hopes of witnessing the official burial of the Knicks' 2024-25 season.

Jalen Brunson led the Knicks in the early going with seven points.
