Kyrie Irving has not played a single minute for the Dallas Mavericks this season. The nine-time All-Star is still rehabbing a torn ACL in his left knee and currently does not have a firm timetable for his return.
In fact, Irving might not play at all this season. The 33-year-old has already expressed his desire to return, but the Mavs have not provided any clear indication that Irving will be back at some point in 2025-26.
The Mavs tradedAnthony Davis to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, signaling their intention to embrace a full Cooper Flagg-centered rebuild. This gives Dallas even more motivation to take an overly cautious approach in bringing Irving back from a major injury.
Irving remains active in the basketball realm despite not having played in the NBA for 11 months. The 33-year-old has multiple endorsement deals, including a major partnership with leading Chinese sportswear brand Anta.
On Thursday, Irving announced an upcoming promotional event for Anta. The 6-foot-2 guard will head to Beverly Hills on Feb. 15 for ANTALAND.
“@kyrieirving & Anta Beverly Hills present ANTALAND, one day only on Sunday 2/15 ”
According to the post, fans will get exclusive access to the event if they purchase Anta products from the brand’s Beverly Hills flagship store. The promotion runs from Feb. 2 to 14.
Irving, who also serves as Anta’s Chief Creative Officer (CCO), has already launched three signature shoes with the brand. His latest one is the Anta Kai 3, which dropped in January.
Irving is a 14-year NBA veteran. He holds career averages of 23.7 points on 47.4% shooting, 4.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.4 triples per game. A three-time All-NBA point guard, Irving won an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 alongside LeBron James.
